PHILADELPHIA-- FactCheck.org, the nonpartisan website devoted to reducing the level of confusion and deception in U.S. politics, has been named by Time.com as one of "25 Sites We Cant Live Without." http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1222769,00.html
FactCheck, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania, joins Google, Amazon, eBay, ESPN, Wikipedia and NPR on Time.com's list of "must-click" sites.
"We're delighted to be included on such a list. To be listed along with giants like Google and eBay is an honor," Brooks Jackson, FactCheck's director, said.
Penn's FactCheck is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and scrutinizes political ads, campaign statements and partisan issues for accuracy, utilizing original source materials to document errors and exaggerations. The site uses as its motto a statement from the late U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts."
