Pasta power
The spaghetti came out of the kitchen and into work for a bridge-building workshop for Take Our Daughters to Work Day, April 22. More than 50 people - employees and their daughters - came to learn how rubber bands and pasta perform under stress, simple examples to explain the role materials play in cooking up structures. The workshop was sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers.
