The Department of Recreation is offering instructional programs in lifesaving and golf for the campus community over the next month. GOLF INSTRUCTION: Classes meet Wednesdays, April 5 through 26, at Franklin Field, 33rd and Spruce streets; beginner classes meet at 11 a.m., intermediate classes meet at noon. Fee: Faculty/staff $75, students $50.

COMMUNITY CPR: Monday, March 27, and Wednesday, March 29, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Hutchinson Gym classroom, 33rd St. between the Palestra and Franklin Field. Fee: Faculty/staff $75, students $60.

CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER: Two weekends. Saturday, March 25; Sunday, March 26; Saturday, April 1; and Sunday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Hutchinson Gym classroom. Fee: Faculty/staff $80, students $65.

LIFEGUARD TRAINING: How to save lives at sea or in the pool is the subject of this two-weekend course. Saturday, March 25, Sunday, March 26, Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Hutchinson Gym pool. Fee: Faculty/staff $170, students $130.
