Sisterhood is funny

For its first stage production of the season, Penn Presents is giving a Broadway hit a Philly accent.

Eve EnslerÕs ÒThe Vagina MonologuesÓ has taken the world by storm with its personal stories of womenÕs lives. In New York, a succession of celebrities and notables have taken a star turn at the mike telling tales that are at once funny, provocative and unifying. And so it will be on the Zellerbach Theatre stage, with actress Carol Kane performing the first week of the showÕs run. Then the Philadelphians take over, with WHYY-FM ÒRadio TimesÓ host Marty Moss-Coane on stage for the second week, and Philadelphia Inquirer TV gossip columnist Gail Shister doing the honors on the showÕs final night.
