WHO HE IS: Information Center Specialist, Samsom Place East

MONTHS AT PENN: 10.

WHAT HE DOES: Williams is the go-to guy for residents of Sansom Place East whenever they have a problem—whether it’s a leaky faucet, a lost key, or just about any other issue they face. He’s helped students with a few weird problems—nothing he could talk about in print, he says—and says the job has allowed him to meet people from across the University. “It’s kind of a neat position. We interact with everyone, all types of people.”

WHO LIVES THERE?: Sansom Place East is home to anywhere from 550 to 600 residents, most of whom are graduate students and many of whom are international students. The building is also occasionally home to faculty.

HOW BUSY?: Williams says every day is a busy one. “Between email and phone and meeting people face-to-face, I probably help 50 to 60 people a day,” he says.
