Penn named one of the 'Best Values in Higher Education'
The University of Pennsylvania has been cited as one of the top U.S. schools that “deliver an affordable, high-quality education and keep the financial aid flowing.”
In the Kiplinger’sBest Values in Higher Education ranking of American institutions of higher education, Penn is eighth among private colleges. The rankings took into account not only tuition costs but also educational quality and generosity of financial aid. According to Kiplinger’s, the most affordable institutions on the list “provide a top-quality education at an affordable price—usually because of generous financial aid.”
"It is our responsibility to ensure that we help educate future generations of leaders, regardless of economic background,” Gutmann said. “The excellence of the education we offer also depends on our attracting students with varied economic and cultural backgrounds and contrasting life experiences who live and learn together.”
