Standard & Poor's Raises Penn's Debt Rating to AA+

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania now has the highest credit rating it has ever had. Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised the University’s debt rating to AA+ from AA, while also assigning an AA+/A-1+ rating to the Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority's series A of 2008 revenue bonds issued for Penn.
