PHILADELPHIA — “Double Take: Series, Multiples and Prints” opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Nov. 18. 

PHILADELPHIA — “An American Odyssey: The Warner Collection of American Art” opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Aug. 13. 

PHILADELPHIA —- “Laughing Matters: Soviet Propaganda in Khrushchev’s Thaw, 1956-1964” opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on April 9.

PHILADELPHIA — “Silence Dogood: An Installation by Miler Lagos,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Jan. 27, transforms nearly four tons of recycled newspapers into a sculpted “forest.”

 

 PHILADELPHIA — “West Philadelphia: Building a Community,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on July 7, explores 19th-century architectural and urban development and features highlights of the community today.

 

 PHILADELPHIA — “Louis I. Kahn: The Making of a Room,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Feb. 7, is an exhibit of 40 original drawings, exploring Kahn’s concept that the room is a building block of architecture.

PHILADELPHIA — “Kings, Chiefs and Women of Power: Images From Nigeria,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Nov. 14, is an exhibit of 30 large Cibachrome prints by Phyllis Galembo.These photographs, taken in 1993-1994, highlight the costumes, customs and traditions of the Benin and southern Nigerian communities.

 PHILADELPHIA — “Process in Print: The David and Susan Goode Collection,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Sept. 13, is an exhibit of 30 master prints dating from the early 20th century to the present that features various methods of printmaking, including aquatint, etching, intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, screenprint and woodblock.
