Fourth-year Eric Tao and Class of 2023 graduate Suraj Chandran, both of the School of Arts & Sciences, have each been awarded a 2025 Hertz Fellowship in applied science, engineering, and mathematics by the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation.

Le, a Class of 2023 graduate, has been awarded a Fellowship to the merit-based program that provides graduate school funding for immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States. Le’s research explores the evolution of viral-host interactions to uncover novel molecular tools and therapeutic targets.

A gift from Trustee, Wharton Board of Advisors member, and alumnus Jamie Dinan led to renovation of former Vance Hall.

The announcement marks a return to University City for McCaffery, who played three seasons for the Quakers and is a 1982 alumnus of the Wharton School.
