A gene therapy study focused on finding a cure for a rare congenital blinding disease has been recognized as one of the ten most outstanding clinical research projects of the year by the Clinical Research Forum (CRF). The study, led by Jean Bennett, MD, Phd, F.M.

A group of Wharton students and faculty recently helped Philadelphia receive a million dollars. The School of Social Policy & Practice and the African-American Resource Center at the University of Pennsylvania will host “Let’s Talk About Race” Tuesday, April 16, at 5:30 p.m. in Café 58 in Irvine Auditorium, 3401 Spruce St.

It began at age 5, long before she came to the University of Pennsylvania. During school breaks, while other students vacationed or went to camp, Jennifer Gutierrez was working.  At first, she worked as an interpreter for her mother who did not speak English.
