The end of the school year is just around the corner and many parents/guardians are pondering what to do with their children over the summer break.
Select Penn summer camps offer discounts for faculty and staff, and others offer perks, such as pre- and post-camp activities that enable parents to drop their children off in the morning before heading to work. But campers must sign up soon; many programs are already full.
Summer camps with available space include:
Anthropologists in the Making
Penn Museum’s campers (ages 7-13) explore ancient civilizations, mythology, dance, music, cooking, art and customs.
Wide World of Sports
Penn Athletics offers a wide variety of summer camps for children 6 and older.
- The Penn Soccer Academy offers day camps (ages 6-13), a college prep academy (for girls in grades 9-12) and an advanced academy (for girls ages 10-14). University employees get a $40 discount per child if they include their Penn e-mail address on the application.
- The Quaker Rowing Camp is designed for both experienced and first-time rowers between the ages of 13 to 18.
- The Al Bagnoli All-Star Football Camp, for high school players, offers one-day clinics on June 12 and July 16, and an overnight camp from July 17-20. The One Day Clinic is designed for rising juniors and seniors who can compete at the collegiate level; the overnight camp provides each athlete with solid fundamentals.

Band Camp
The Penn Band High School Summer Camp does not require an audition for admission and University employees receive a 10 percent discount.
Summer School
Penn’s Summer Academies, administered by the College of Liberal & Professional Studies, are four-week, intensive, non-credit academic programs for high school students.
Art Imitating Life
The School of Design’s Art and Architecture Summer Studios program offers a four-week, non-credit program for high school students interested in animation, architecture, filmmaking, drawing and painting, sculpture or photography. University employees may receive a $1,000 discount.
