The end of the school year is just around the corner and many parents/guardians are pondering what to do with their children over the summer break.
Select Penn summer camps offer discounts for faculty and staff, and others offer perks, such as pre- and post-camp activities that enable parents to drop their children off in the morning before heading to work. But campers must sign up soon; many programs are already full.
Summer camps with available space include:
Anthropologists in the Making
Penn Museum’s campers (ages 7-13) explore ancient civilizations, mythology, dance, music, cooking, art and customs.
Wide World of Sports
Penn Athletics offers a wide variety of summer camps for children 6 and older.
For information on the athletic camps, visit the Penn Athletics website.
Band Camp
The Penn Band High School Summer Camp does not require an audition for admission and University employees receive a 10 percent discount.
Summer School
Penn’s Summer Academies, administered by the College of Liberal & Professional Studies, are four-week, intensive, non-credit academic programs for high school students.
Art Imitating Life
The School of Design’s Art and Architecture Summer Studios program offers a four-week, non-credit program for high school students interested in animation, architecture, filmmaking, drawing and painting, sculpture or photography. University employees may receive a $1,000 discount.
