Spring is here, along with the baseball and softball seasons that accompany it. Penn’s baseball and softball teams both started off the season on a winning note; the baseball team defeated Georgetown 13-4 in their opener and the softball team blanked South Dakota 1-0.
Junior Dan Williams went 3 for 4 and scored five runs to lead the Quakers, while sophomore Chelsea Ott pitched a complete-game shutout.

In honor of Valentine's Day, and as a way of fostering community in her Shakespeare in Love course, Becky Friedman took her students to the University Club for lunch one class period. They talked about the movie "Shakespeare in Love," as part of a broader conversation on how Shakespeare's works are adapted.
