PennFit helps you work toward personal health and wellness goals

PennFit programs offered by the Department of Recreation provide all Penn faculty, students and staff with a PennCard educational and motivational activities designed to help individuals achieve their personal health, fitness and wellness goals.

Some of the programs are free and open to all Penn employees; others require a PennRec membership.

PennFit Results is a healthy lifestyle education program open to anyone with a PennCard. The program offers free monthly courses, lectures, workshops and events focused on health, fitness and wellness.

Participants can choose from several different tracks: the seven-week Fitness/Wellness Track, the six-week Healthy Eating Track, the six-week Stress Management Track, and 60-minute sessions of bonus seminars and activities.

The classes cover topics such as personal training, stress management and healthy eating as well as introduction to belly dancing, yoga, understanding core muscle groups and massage therapy.  Activities include dance classes and rock climbing.

“Our PennFit program provides the fundamental tips, tools and credible resources necessary to help you improve your lifestyle without the gimmicks, fads or empty promises,” says Christian Bosch, associate director of programs at PennRec. “Best of all, it’s free.”
