New research suggests that vaping may not actually help with smoking cessation. “This important study tells us that youth who use e-cigarettes are more likely to continue to use combustible cigarettes after initiating,” said the Perelman School of Medicine’s Janet Audrain-McGovern.

Officers from the Penn Police Department shared a cup of coffee, free swag, and conversations with passersby along Locust Walk during National Coffee with a Cop Day, a way to bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.

As part of its annual Life-Saving Measures event, the Division of Public Safety hosted a live side-by-side controlled “burn” of a dorm room model on Hamilton Field to show how “Sprinklers Save Lives.”

Personnel from Penn’s Division of Public Safety and Perelman School of Medicine recently participated in the Tour de Shore, a 65-mile bike ride from Philadelphia to Atlantic City, to support the families of fallen first responders.
