Weijie Su, an associate professor of statistics and data science at the Wharton School and affiliated faculty with the Wharton AI and Analytics Initiative, received the 2026 Presidents’ Award from the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies for his contributions to statistics and machine learning.
At Penn’s School of Veterinary Medicine, Louise Moncla was recognized by the American Society for Virology for her contributions to understanding viral evolution and transmission, and Timour Baslan earned national honors from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation for pioneering innovative approaches to discover novel cancer therapies.
Victor Pickard, C. Edwin Baker Professor of Media Policy and Political Economy and Media at the Annenberg School for Communication and co-director of the Media, Inequality & Change Center, was named a Roosevelt Institute Think Tank Fellow.
In the School of Arts & Sciences, Hardeep Dhillon, a professor of Asian American studies, received the Early Career Achievement Award from the Association for Asian American Studies.
And in the School of Nursing, professor and founding director of the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research Linda H. Aiken received the 2026 American Nurses Association President’s Award.
