Anna Ross, a senior guard on the Penn women’s basketball team, is the University’s all-time leader in assists with 491. She broke the school record during an 89-25 win over Gwynedd Mercy on Jan. 28. The 5’9” Syracuse, N.Y., native is also the Penn record-holder for most assists in a season and most career starts.
Ross was named an All-Ivy Honorable Mention when she was a sophomore and selected Second-Team All-Ivy during her junior and senior seasons. She has helped guide the Quakers to two Big 5 championships and two Ivy League titles.

Ross’ assist-to-turnover ratio when she was a freshman, tops in the Ivy League. She finished second in the conference with 112 assists. She also led the league in assist-to-turnover ratio as a sophomore (+2.35), junior (+2.0), and senior (+2.2).

Number of assists Ross had vs. Rhode Island on Dec. 22, 2017, along with 11 points. She became the first Penn player with a points/assists double-double since 2007.
Seconds left on the clock after Ross hit the game-winning shot against Villanova on Jan. 17, 2018. The victory was Penn’s first defeat of Villanova in 16 years.
