The University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine’s annual Penn’s Way campaign concluded on Nov. 24, 2023. Titled “Going the Distance,” the workplace charitable giving drive reached out to the Penn community, and the community responded generously. Reflecting the theme of the campaign, “Going the Distance for Our Community,” Penn and Penn Medicine matched individual contributions 100%.
This year’s pilot Matching Program was highly successfully in raising funds for more than 2,100 charitable organizations. The University and Health System granted staff the autonomy to give to their chosen charities, even adding a feature to recommend organizations to be added to Penn’s Way. The charitable organizations that received the most donations for this year’s campaign include The Jewish Federation, Philabundance, Doctors Without Borders, Bread and Roses Community Fund, and Project Home.
Dollar for dollar, and donor for donor, each and every contribution will help communities and individuals who need it most.
