    The collection of Ashley Bryan’s work includes thousands of pieces of art, correspondence, photos, manuscripts, and books. A small exhibition of his collection is now on display at the Libraries, and a major symposium and exhibition are expected in 2022.

    ‘Fight On, Pennsylvania’ celebrates a century

    One hundred years ago two Penn freshmen got together in a Quad dorm room and wrote the music and lyrics to a song they named “Fight On, Pennsylvania.” The University’s official fight song became a tradition at football games, and today is played thousands of times a year.

    Michelle Lopez of the Stuart Weitzman School of Design created a sculpture with construction-derived materials hanging from, and reaching up to, a 30-foot-high gallery ceiling in the Institute of Contemporary Art. The new site-specific installation, “Ballast & Barricades,” is on display until May 10.
