Penn receives gift to support the study of global justice and human rights at Perry World House

The gift, from alumni Hemal N. Mirani and Paritosh V. Thakore, will establish the Thakore Family Global Justice and Human Rights Visiting Fellowship and the Thakore Family Global Justice and Human Rights Program.

Fran McCaffery, returning to the NCAA Tournament with Iowa, was nicknamed ‘White Magic’ in his Sonny Hill League days

McCaffery, who played at La Salle College High and Penn and whose game revolved around slick hand balling, earned the nickname playing alongside Gene Banks and Lewis "Black Magic" Lloyd in the famous Sonny Hill League. He will be taking the Hawkeyes into the NCAA Tournament this week for the sixth time in his 12 seasons.

Five University of Pennsylvania seniors and four alumni have received a 2022 Thouron Award to pursue graduate studies in the United Kingdom. Penn announces nine 2022 Thouron Scholars

Five seniors and four recent alumni have received a 2022 Thouron Award to pursue graduate studies in the United Kingdom. Each scholarship recipient receives tuition for up to two years, as well as travel and living stipends, to earn a graduate degree there.

Penn receives momentous gift to support Korean studies, neurovascular surgery, and the Wharton School 

The $25 million gift from James Joo-Jin Kim and Agnes Kim, and the James and Agnes Kim Family Foundation will support a range of initiatives at Penn, including the James Joo-Jin Kim Center for Korean Studies in the School of Arts & Sciences.
