Penn breaks ground on Gail P. Riepe Center for Advanced Veterinary Education

A gift from Penn alumni Gail and Jim Riepe will support the construction of the 11,800-square-foot facility at Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center campus.

“The research that goes on at Penn Vet not only informs the care that will take place here but informs the rest of the world in the best practices in veterinary medicine,” Penn President J.     Students from the Weitzman School of Design journeyed to Senegal to help with a massive ecological and infrastructural greening effort as part of their coursework. The Dakar Greenbelt aims to combat desertification and promote sustainable urban growth.
