Explaining Your Research

Robert R. Marshak Public Lecture

To open the 2025 Institute for Infectious and Zoonotic Diseases Symposium, Peter Jay Hotez of Baylor College of Medicine will present the Robert R. Marshak Public Lecture, “Vaccines and Immunizations in a Time of Global Boiling and Anti-Science.” This event, co-hosted by the Annenberg Public Policy Center, will be moderated by Michael Mann, director of the Penn Center for Science, Sustainability, and the Media and vice provost for climate science, policy, and action.

Penn announces five 2021 Thouron Scholars

Four seniors and a 2019 graduate have received a Thouron Award to pursue graduate studies in the United Kingdom. Each scholarship winner receives tuition for as long as two years, as well as travel and living stipends, to earn a graduate degree there.

Senior Annah Chollet and May graduate Yareqzy Munoz have been named 2021 Marshall Scholars. The Marshall Scholarship funds up to three years of study for a graduate degree in any field at an institution in the United Kingdom.
