This summer, Ahmad Hammo, a rising third-year student in the School of Engineering and Applied Science, is conducting a pilot study to explore psilocybin’s potential as a therapy for chronic pain and the depression that often accompanies it.

Fulbright 2023 U.S. Student Program grants awarded to 29 Penn affiliates

Twenty-nine University of Pennsylvania students, recent graduates, and alumni have been offered Fulbright grants for the 2023-24 academic year to conduct research, pursue graduate degrees, or teach English in more than 20 nations.

Krish Mehta has been awarded a 2023 Knight-Hennessy Scholarship for graduate studies and global leadership training at Stanford University. From Mumbai, India, Mehta graduated with dual degrees from the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science in 2018.

Focused on tackling climate change, 2018 Penn graduate Krish Mehta, from Mumbai, has been awarded a 2023 Knight-Hennessy Scholarship for graduate studies and global leadership training at Stanford University.
