The epic poem “Beowulf” came to campus in a performance by Benjamin Bagby (with microphone), who uses his voice and a six-string harp to present the medieval text in Old English, evoking an ancient world. The Penn Libraries hosted an academic roundtable with Bagby and the School of Arts & Sciences’ (from left) Mary Channen Caldwell, Caroline Batten, and David Wallace.
