Penn’s Annenberg Public Policy Center’s (APPC) Annenberg Science and Public Health survey won the American Association for Public Opinion Research’s 2026 Policy Impact Award. APPC’s FactCheck.org won a National Headliner Award for online beat reporting of government and political coverage. And APPC Director Kathleen Hall Jamieson was honored with a Special Recognition Award from the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research for her service to the field of prevention and public health.
In the School of Arts & Sciences, associate professor of music Mary Channen Caldwell has been selected as a Rieman and Baketel Fellow for Music at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Nancy P. Blumenthal, an advanced senior lecturer in Penn Nursing’s Department of Biobehavioral Health Sciences and associate director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program has been elected a Fellow of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation.
And the Wharton School’s Jason Altschuler was named the 2026 SIAM Activity Group on Optimization Early Career Prize recipient in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the field of optimization as an early career researcher.
